Digital and Media Literacy in Bulgarian Language and Literature Classes in Grades 5-7

This article examines the importance of digital and media literacy in teaching Bulgarian language and literature in grades 5-7. The theoretical foundations of digital and media literacy are presented, examining their main components, as well as the ability to critically analyze and interpret media messages. The emphasis is placed on the role of Bulgarian language and literature classes in developing these competencies through working with texts and creating content. The article emphasizes the need for integrated, modern education that prepares students for active and informed participation in society.
