“I CAN TOO” – A REAL CHANCE FOR INCLUSIVE EDUCATION FOR SPECIAL EDUCATIONAL NEEDS STUDENTS AT SECONDARY COMPREHENSIVE SCHOOL “ST. PAISII HILENDARSKI”, ZLATITSA
This article looks at the issue of teaching special educational needs students in the context of the newest developments in the Bulgarian educational system policy for re-thinking the school as a humanistic organization. The terms “integrated teaching” and “inclusive education” are compared. Key characteristics of the school environment that are important for the successful integration of the students are explained. A good practice for inclusive education for special educational needs students is described as developed at Secondary Comprehensive School “St. Paisii Hilendarski” - Zlatitsa as a result of the “I can too” project funded by the European Social Fund.
