FORMATION OF HEALTHY EATING HABITS AND A POSITIVE ATTITUDE TOWARDS A HEALTHY LIFESTYLE THROUGH PROJECT-BASED LEARNING BY PUPILS OF PRIMARY SCHOOL AGE

In recent years there has been an increase in the attention to health education, resulting in its higher priority in our educational system. National data on adolescent health report alarming statistics.
In this article we examine a few of the reasons, which have led to this situation and propose a version of the project-based learning framework to develop skills directing to healthy lifestyles. The study project has been conducted with students in school-starting age over a period of three academic years (Second, Third and Fourth Grade). The various activities performed by the students have been described in this article.
Precise planning of the activities, good organization, high interest, student participation and their initiative contributed to the successful completion of this project.
