FORMATION OF ATTITUDES AND NEEDS FOR CONTINOUS TRAINING OF STUDENTS IN THE SPECIALTY “NURSE” – QUALITY GUARANTEE FOR MASTERY OF MODERN STANDARDS IN THE CARE OF PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES

All the changes, in social development had an impact on the healthcare system. There was a requirement for a new attitude towards the patient as a whole and to the patient with disabilities in particular. There was a shift from an attitude towards a person in need to an attitude towards a person who has a need to have the temporary barriers facing him/her removed, in order to be able to take his/her rightful place as a full and complete participant in public life. This fact led to a major change in the curriculum, related to the preparation of health personnel in higher medical schools, especially for students studying the specialty "Nurse."
In this paper we address the problem of the formation of attitudes and needs for continuous education in nurses in the context of their university education with the aim of acquiring and applying contemporary standards of care for people with disabilities.
