MODERN CONCEPTS FOR CAREER AND CAREER DEVELOPMENT

This paper presents a study of the concepts "career" and "career development", which are reflected in the theoretical works of many authors from America, Europe and Australia, and also in various national frameworks. In defining the terms "career" and "career development" both narrow and broad concepts are outlined. Alternative concepts are analyzed, too. Generalizations and conclusions are made about the discussed ideas.
