SEMINAR LECTURES - THREE-ROLE EDUCATIONAL THEATER

The main purpose of education in schools and universities should be the acquiring of a self-learning skill. Modern technology development and the accelerated accumulation of human knowledge contribute to the way lifelong learning has become an indispensable feature of the professional path for the contemporary pupils and students. The ability to acquire knowledge independently is not developed from the completion of a single task- a course assignment for example. It requires systematic implementation of approaches that activate and motivate learners to learn throughout the whole learning period. The current article presents the outcomes of the implementation of an approach for organizing seminar lectures on different themes and topics, not included in "Informatics 3rd part"- curriculum for economics university in the Faculty of Economics, Trakia University. The classes are called training theaters and are organized by dividing the students into groups with different roles: two of them competing groups and one arbitrator who is knowledgeable on the subject discussed.
