APPLICATION OF A TEST FOR EVALUATION OF MATHEMATICAL COMPETENCE FOR STUDENTS IN SECONDARY LEVELS OF EDUCATION

Today, the competences are underlying in the design of each educational level and that is why the means of evaluation and prediction of educational achievements and needs of all students are becoming more important. The article looks at the application of of a trial evaluation model in math education which allows the establishment of contemporary zone and a zone of close development for each student. It applies that the development of a mathematical competence could be looked at on three different quality levels of implementation of knowledge and skills: 1) Formal level- mastering the outer side of the method for performing the activity; 2) objective level- clarification of the essential reference underlying the method of action; 3) functional level-acquiring the freedom for the use of the method, which allows acting within its means and keeping within the ranges of its capacity.
