READING AND VISUAL PERCEPTION OF SPEECH IN INDIVIDUALS WITH HEARING IMPAIRMENTS

In this article are viewed the relations between the processes of reading and visual perception of speech in individuals with hearing impairments.
Special attention is focused on the factors which determine the running of both processes and the patterns of their realization.
The authors interpret the similarity in relation to the factors and patterns as important proоf for the interconnection between the processes of reading and visual perception of speech. The research results can have positive influence on hearing and speech rehabilitation in individuals with hearing impairments.
