All human beings are goal oriented. A child who acts out, is aggressive or refuses to contribute, has a mistaken goal. In according to Alfred Adler’s individual psychology which was later on further developed by his follower R. Dreikurs, all humans are social beings. Our desire to belong is one of the major forces of motivation in life. When people cannot reach this goal in a positive way, we use negative attitude. This idea is in the bases of the methods for overcoming misbehaving.
