AUTHENTIC ASSESSMENT IN THE CLASSROOM
DOI: 10.15547/PF.2017.023
Assessment is not just a method for reporting students' achievements. When developed effectively, assessment can engage students and facilitate learning, enabling the development of skills, and helping students to think, improve, or build confidence in their academic abilities. When teachers know their pupils’ individual characteristics well, they can build strong relationships that lead to better learning. Knowing the interests, strengths and weaknesses of students helps teachers to better design the learning process.
