SPECIFICS OF THE ACQUISITION OF WRITTEN COMMUNICATION SKILLS BY ROMA PUPILS AT ELEMENTARY SCHOOL AGE

Abstract. This article looks into the problems, occurring in the process of education and socialization of Roma children in bilingual environment. We have discussed the phenomenon of interference and its negative effect on the motivation and attitudes of Roma children to the educational process. We have also outlined possible strategies for the integration of Roma people in Bulgarian society.
