THE SURVEY IN PEDAGOGICAL STUDIES
In pedagogical studies surveys are used as a method to determine opinions, attitudes, evaluations, and are targeted at revealing quantity and quality characteristics of the subject and object of the study. The methods of surveying are beneficial to collecting large masses of data. They are less useful in researching a certain problem in depth – usually when studying the characteristics of academic process, mechanisms for choosing methodological options, etc.
In the current article we have presented the types of surveys, the requirements for their structuring and the stages for conducting the survey. Addressed are the most commonly used questions in pedagogical studies. Described are the requirements for selection and behavior of questioners.
