The Educational Role of Fairy Tales in Preschool (6-7 Year Olds)

This article examines the educational role of fairy tales in preschool age, specifically for children aged 6-7 years. Fairy tales are extremely important to children's development as they offer them a wealth of opportunities for learning and growth. Different types of fairy tales are presented – from folklore, classic and modern, and their characteristics and history are examined. The functions of fairy tales such as stimulating the imagination, developing language and moral values are discussed in detail. The content features of fairy tales, such as magical elements, characters, and moral lessons, are also examined. To emphasize the importance of fairy tales in preschool age, structured examples of educational activities and events are offered that support the reading of fairy tales and develop children's imagination and creativity. Finally, an analysis of the results of the conducted research, conclusions and conclusion is presented. The questions that were used in the interviews with teachers, parents and children are stimulating for further research and practical implementation of the educational role of fairy tales in preschool age.
