SOCIAL INTEREST OR THE SENSE OF COMMUNITY – WHICH ONE IS TRULY IMPORTANT?

The aim of the present study is to clarify the basic tenets for a successful mutual cohabitation according to individualistic psychology. Does social interest or the sense of community underlie human existence? This concept, introduced by Alfred Adler, is named Gemeinschaftsgefuehl in German. Trainers must support its development in children by adopting and following these four principles: freedom, mutual respect, responsibility and cooperation.
