THE INFLUENCE OF THE SOCIETY ON THE DEVELOPMENT OF GIFTED CHILDREN

The present study examines the specifics of the socio-cultural situation in the modern world, intensifying communal and scientific interest in the problem of education and development of gifted and talented children. It is noted that the construction of a new type of society based on knowledge and striving to smart, sustainable growth refers to a sharp increase in public demand for people with creative, lateral thinking and creative abilities to solve problems. Similar potencies are attributed to gifted and talented children. In this regard, training, education and development of this category of children is becoming one of the key tasks for both the educational system and the society as a whole. The author focuses his attention on the nature of giftedness and analyzes a particular set of targeted socio-psychological and organizational resources to support and full disclosure of the creative potential of a gifted child.
